Currently pursuing or have obtained a Bachelor's Degree

Ability to collaborate with a large team of professionals and students

Organizational, time management and communication skills

Commitment to volunteer 6-10 hours per month to work on SAFENA-related tasks.

Position Overview:
A member plays an integral role in advancing the goals and initiatives of a specific committee within the nonprofit organization. This position involves working collaboratively with fellow committee members and leadership to plan, execute, and evaluate programs or projects that support the organization’s mission. The Members contribute their time, skills, and expertise to ensure the committee's objectives are achieved effectively and efficiently.
Expectations:

Attend and participate in general and committee meetings regularly.

Engage in discussions, brainstorming, and decision-making processes.

Assist in planning and implementing the committee’s programs, initiatives, or events.

Complete assigned tasks and responsibilities within agreed-upon deadlines.

Work effectively with other committee members and the committee officer.

Coordinate with other committees or organizational leaders as needed.

Maintain open and timely communication with the committee officer and fellow members.

Provide updates on progress and report any challenges or concerns.

Support the nonprofit’s mission, vision, and strategic objectives through committee work.

Offer expertise, skills, or resources that can enhance the committee’s impact.

Take initiative in areas where specialized knowledge or support is needed.

Participate in reviewing and assessing the effectiveness of committee activities.

Provide feedback to improve future initiatives.

Committee Descriptions:

Social Media Committee
-
Oversees the organization’s social media presence by creating, scheduling, and managing engaging content. Members focus on building online visibility, connecting with audiences, and promoting the organization’s mission through various platforms.

Scholarship Committee

Manages the organization's scholarship programs, including designing application processes, reviewing submissions, and selecting recipients. Members ensure fair and transparent evaluations while promoting access to educational opportunities for deserving individuals.

Educational Events Committee

Plans and organizes workshops, seminars, and events that promote learning and skill development aligned with the organization's mission. Members work to identify relevant topics, secure speakers, and manage event logistics to ensure meaningful experiences for participants.

Fundraising Committee

Develops and implements strategies to raise funds for the organization. Members collaborate on events, and donor outreach initiatives to ensure financial sustainability and support for the organization's programs.​
